An Oklahoma legend of the blues guitar has died. D.C. Minner played bass for rock-and-roll pioneers like Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry.
He came home to Rentiesville and started the Dusk 'Til Dawn Blues Festival 17 years ago. The tiny McIntosh county town swells with music each Labor Day. Minner was a member of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.
He's survived by his wife Selby. D.C. Minner was 73.
