Tuesday was Tractor Day at Rosa Parks Elementary School. The third graders have been planning the event since February.
With the help of the non-profit group Global Gardens and a tractor, they were able to till the ground and plant everything from strawberries, to fruit trees and Chinese broccoli.
"They're learning about gardening, science and plants, but they're also learning so much more. They're learning how to work together. They're learning how to dream, and then how to take the steps to make those dreams possible," said Heather Oakley with Global Gardens.
The students will care for the gardens and eventually they'll be able to reap what they've sown.
