Some oil industry experts are volunteering their time in Tulsa to help scout for possible drilling locations on city-owned land.  Right now, a Tulsa ordinance prohibits the practice.

But, Tulsa city leaders have been considering changing that to help pay for more than a billion dollars in street repairs.

Oklahoma City earns nearly $3.5 million a year in royalties from oil and gas operations on city-owned land.
