At the state capitol, legislators vote to scrap the Oklahoma Constitution and start from scratch. The measure overwhelmingly passed the state Senate on Monday.
If it gets past the state House and if the governor agrees, Oklahoma voters will have the final say if the entire constitution needs to be rewritten.
State lawmakers are already proposing changes for a new constitution, including having the governor and lieutenant governor run as a team, and removing the governor from the pardon and parole process.
