Walk And Run Held To Remember The 10

The Stillwater community held the second annual "Remember the 10" walk and run.  The fundraiser is a way for the Cowboys to remember the 10 members of the OSU basketball family who died in a 2001 plane crash.

Pistol Pete was on hand along with former OSU basketball coach Eddie Sutton to kick start the 5K and 10K races on Saturday morning. 

Last year 900 runners participated in the event. This year more than 1,300 showed up.

The event was first organized last year as a way to remember those men who died as they were returning to Oklahoma from Colorado. 

All proceeds from the "Remember the 10" race are donated to OSU University Counseling Services to help with grief counseling needs. 

Last year the run raised more than $20,000 for the department.
