Broken Arrow residents, police and crime victims took time on Monday to observe National Crime Victims' Rights Week.
Volunteers planted a Crepe Myrtle between the city's police department and justice center.
The event coincides with public rallies and candlelight vigils around the nation. Organizers hope to add trees and plants each year during the week to remember crime victims.
