The search for a young mother has gone cold. Angie Tucker disappeared last November and police say they have very few leads. News on 6 Anchor Latoya Silmon reports Angela Tucker's mother says the news of Cori Baker's discovery is bittersweet. On one hand she's glad Cori was found, but on the other, the news breaks her heart fearing Angie could share the same fate.
Angie's mother, Jimmie Tucker, pleas for help and reminds everyone that Angie Tucker is still out there.
The mother of two has been missing for five months. Angie's mom fears an ex-boyfriend who Angie filed a protective order against may be involved.
"I told her when she was going with him, it was something about him that didn't fit me right," said Jimmie Tucker, Angie's mother.
Police say they strongly suspect foul play, but the ex-boyfriend is not a suspect. So, the clock tics and the anxiety grows.
"If you know what the reason was it wouldn't bound you so hard," said Tucker.
But, knowing can be just as tough. Angie disappeared November 3, just days before 13-year-old Cori Baker disappeared. Now that Cori's remains have been found, Angie's mom is worried.
"I said that could happen to her. No mother wants that to happen to their child," said Tucker.
And so she waits, hoping Angie's story will have a different ending.
"I haven't gotten that feeling that she's, that you know, that she's dead. But, where ever she is, if somebody is holding her I don't know," said Tucker.
An investigator says a few leads have surfaced, but they are very vague. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS. They say every little bit of information, no matter how small, l could help this case.
