The Pillsbury Bake-Off is next month in Dallas, and a Jenks woman is one of the finalists. News On 6 reporter Rick Wells went to check out Sherrie Reid's recipe for Creamy Chicken Marsala Pizza.
"You have mushrooms, onions, parsley, salt, pepper, garlic butter, chicken, mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese, that's pretty much it," said Reid.
Those along with Marsala wine and Pillsbury pizza dough and cream, it's the ingredients for Reid's creamy chicken Marsala pizza.
Reid is one of finalists in this year's Pillsbury Bake-Off.
"I'm ready for action now," said Reid.
Reid said it was her boss at Triad Bank who encouraged her to enter.
"He always encouraged me to enter a food competition or do a cookbook or something but I never did," said Reid.
He lost a fairly long battle with cancer last fall, but she was at least able to tell him she was in before he died and so there is special inspiration in the recipe.
There were tens of thousands recipes submitted that were checked, researched, tried and evaluated.
Pillsbury has a website where you can checkout all 100 finalist's recipes.
There are also details on how one lucky someone can win $1 million.
