Flames Spotted At Refinery Smokestacks

Those driving on the westside of Tulsa saw some spectacular flames Tuesday afternoon.  It was an unusual sight at the Sinclair Refinery where flames were shooting out of both smokestacks.

The plant manager said an electrical line failed, causing a power outage.

After the outage was repaired, the excess gas couldn't be processed in the plant so they had to burn it off.
