March 12 Is "Armed Forces Personnel Families Day"

Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry has proclaimed March 12, 2008 as "a day of recognition of the families of armed forces personnel."

A proclamation signed by Henry states that "families of armed forces personnel experience the day-to-day anxiety of wondering about the well-being of their relatives abroad, often not knowing where they are."

The governor says March 12 will be a day to recognize these families for their sacrifice and ability to continue with life and push through the uncertainty of whether their loved ones will ever return home.
