A light dusting of snow across portions of northeastern Oklahoma caused some minor headaches for motorists Friday morning. Authorities asked drivers to be extra careful as they headed in to work.
Most of the snow fell in an area just north of Tulsa. Motorists saw some slick roads as well as slick bridges and overpasses. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation had crews out spreading salt and sand where needed.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigated a weather-related traffic accident on U.S. Highway 75 near 86th Street in Tulsa County. No one was seriously injured.
Meanwhile, the flu continues to cause problems in parts of Tulsa County Friday. In Skiatook, the Sweet Things Daycare had to close Friday, because 36 of the 65 students and 6 of the 10 staffers are out sick.
One other note, public school classes were canceled Friday in Sedan, Kansas because of icy roads.
