Teachers Recognized For Excellence

The best of the best are honored in Tulsa on Monday.  Tulsa Public schools hosted a special reception for the 88 teachers chosen as their school's teacher of the year.

They each received certificates recognizing their accomplishment.

Coming up in April, they compete against each other for TPS teacher of the year.  The winner will complete for Oklahoma Teacher of the Year.

Superintendent Zolkoski says it's time to bring the state title back to Tulsa.  The last time a Tulsa teacher won was 1963.
