Another suspected child predator has been taken off the streets according to Sheriff Terry Durborow.
Durborow said Deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office Computer Crimes Unit have taken yet another suspected predator into custody after an investigation into the suspects' internet activities.
Johnny Eudaly, 35, of Miami, was arrested late Sunday night after he allegedly arranged to meet an underage girl for sex. Sheriff Durborow said Deputy Brandon Lawhorn had several conversations with Mr. Eudaly via the computer where Mr. Eudaly made numerous lewd or indecent proposals to Deputy Lawhorn, whom he believed to be an underage child.
Mr. Eudaly set up a meeting location in a parking lot within the City Limits of Miami, where he wanted to meet the child. Mr. Eudaly advised he and the child would then go to a separate location where the sex acts were to take place.
Sheriff Durborow said four of his deputies were assisted by an Officer of the Bureau of Indian Affairs in making the arrest. Mr. Eudaly was arrested and transported to the Ottawa County Jail on the anticipated charges of:
Lewd or Indecent Proposals to Minor Child
Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act
Sheriff Durborow said his Office is attached to the Nationwide Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force that is supervised in Oklahoma by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Durborow said his Deputies have received specialized training in the area of computer crimes and will be attending more training in the near future.
