Accident Shuts Down Part Of Turnpike

All lanes of the Turner Turnpike near Kellyville are back open after an accident on Friday afternoon.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol tells the News On 6 that a red Firebird made an unsafe lane change, hit the median barrier, swung back onto the road, and flipped.  The car landed on its roof blocking Westbound traffic.

Troopers say the driver was taken to the hospital.  We do not know the driver's name or condition.  No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
