Man Killed In Turnpike Crash

Traffic comes to standstill on the Will Rogers Turnpike during the morning commute on Wednesday.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol continues to investigate a deadly wreck between a semi and a pickup truck.

The crash happened in near the Verdigris River bridge just before 8 o'clock.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol tells the News On 6 a semi-truck apparently lost control as it came across the bridge, then went across the median, and crashed through a guardrail.

The semi driver then hit a pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction.  The driver of the pickup was killed.
