New charges have been filed against Washington County Treasurer Stan Stevens and two former Washington County employees. Stevens was arrested earlier this month at the Bartlesville home of the administrative assistant for the Washington County Commissioners Kodi Ferguson. During a hearing Wednesday afternoon in Washington County District Court, Stevens was arraigned on 2 counts of conspiracy to distribute a controlled and dangerous substance and one count of distribution of a controlled substance.
Last week, Stevens was charged with possession of hydrocodone with intent to distribute.
Former county commissioner administrative assistant Kodi Ferguson was arraigned on similar counts Wednesday afternoon and former county employee Clyde Allen Walker was charged with distribution of a controlled substance.
Court documents accuse Stevens of providing hydrocodone to Ferguson and her husband from late October until December when Ferguson's husband apparently committed suicide.
Stan Stevens has been the Washington County Treasurer for 20 years.
