OSU standout tight end Brandon Pettigrew is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on complaints of assault and battery on a police officer and public intoxication.

Stillwater Police Lieutenant Mike Metcalf says the 22-year-old Pettigrew was arrested around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday after police officers responded to an altercation involving 10 to 15 people at a Stillwater residence.

Metcalf says the group was asked to disperse, but Pettigrew refused to leave and allegedly elbowed an officer in the chest.

Pettigrew was booked into the Stillwater jail and transferred to the Payne County jail before being released shortly before 10 a.m. on Sunday.

He will be arraigned in Payne County District Court.

Pettigrew, who caught 35 passes for 540 yards and four touchdowns last season, announced last week that he would return for his senior season at Oklahoma State instead of entering the NFL draft early.
