For one OU football player, his legal status will remain limbo for a while longer. An arrest warrant in Arizona for Oklahoma defensive tackle DeMarcus Granger has been set aside.
Court officials in Tempe, Arizona, say a municipal judge removed the warrant on Friday after an attorney for Granger filed a motion with the court.
A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for March 3rd when Granger or his attorney will meet with a Tempe prosecutor or enter a plea.
Granger was arrested on December 29th before the Fiesta Bowl on a shoplifting complaint after police say he tried to steal a jacket from a store at a Tempe mall.
OU coach Bob Stoops sent Granger from Arizona, but says he expects the sophomore to remain with the team.
