The road widening project at 81st and Mingo was completed Friday after 11 months of construction. The project included updates to waterlines, storm sewers, curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
The city contracted with Becco Contractors Inc. for the $4.7 million project, which received funding through the 2006 Third Penny Sales Tax.
All five lanes in both directions are now open to traffic. Construction for the project began in January 2007.
