Joey Dorsey got it done on offense and defense, and he didn't look rusty at all.

Dorsey, who missed the first two games of the season with a shoulder injury, had nine points, 12 rebounds and five blocks to lead No. 3 Memphis to a 63-53 victory over Oklahoma in the semifinals of the 2K Sports College Hoop Classic on Thursday night.

``I was just happy to be out on the floor. I was so amped up for this game. I couldn't wait to start playing,'' Dorsey said. ``I'll try to get rest and get ready for a physical game, football game tomorrow.''

Memphis (3-0) will face Connecticut, which beat Gardner-Webb 78-66, on Friday night at Madison Square Garden in the championship game of the tournament that benefits Coaches vs. Cancer.

In other games involving ranked teams on Thursday, it was: No. 4 Kansas 92, Washburn 60; No. 5 Georgetown 74, Michigan 52; No. 18 Arkansas 75, College of Charleston 49; No. 19 Pittsburgh 78, Mississippi Valley State 45; and No. 21 N.C. State 66, William & Mary 47.

Dorsey banged the shoulder during the game and had a big ice pack on it afterward.

``I hurt it, I hurt it bad, so I'm going to get some treatment tonight'' he said. ``It's real tight and I can't lift my arm.''

Freshman guard Derrick Rose led Memphis with 17 points, and Chris Douglas-Roberts added 12.

Longar Longar led the Sooners (3-1) with 13 points.

It was a sloppy game with the teams combining for 39 turnovers, 39 personal fouls and both teams shot 38 percent from the field.

``Nineteen turnovers is not going to get it done,'' Oklahoma coach Jeff Capel said. ``We have to do a better job of executing. I was happy with how active we were and the energy we showed.

``There are some really good teams in our league but this team we played tonight is on another level.''

Dorsey sprained his right shoulder during practice and didn't play in the Tigers' season-opening wins over Tennessee-Martin and Richmond. The 6-foot-9 senior was a force in the middle throughout, especially on the defensive end.

No. 4 Kansas 92, Washburn 60

Brandon Rush made a successful early return from ACL surgery, scoring seven points and giving Kansas a lift in an otherwise routine rout of Division II Washburn.

Rush, the 6-foot-6 All-Big 12 guard who injured himself in a practice game in May, was 3-for-5 from the floor and also had three rebounds in 12 minutes, all in the first half.

Darrell Arthur had 14 points to help the Jayhawks (3-0) win their 599th game in 52-year-old Allen Fieldhouse.

Angel Santiago didn't play in the first half but wound up with 11 points in only 13 minutes for the Ichabods (0-1) of Topeka.

No. 5 Georgetown 74, Michigan 52

At Washington, Roy Hibbert and Jessie Sapp had 12 points apiece and the Hoyas were never challenged.

Everyone got into the act early for Georgetown (2-0), which scored the game's first 12 points and, more remarkably, grabbed the game's first 11 rebounds.

All of the first-half numbers were rather out of the ordinary, including this unofficial stat: Michigan (2-1) put up five airballs in the opening 20 minutes while falling behind 43-19.

Wolverines freshman Kelvin Grady scored 13 of his game-high 16 points in the second half.

No. 18 Arkansas 75, College of Charleston 49

Patrick Beverley had 16 points and seven rebounds to help Arkansas get the win in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

Darian Townes added 11 points for the Razorbacks (2-0), who outrebounded the Cougars 53-27. Sonny Weems finished with 10 points. Arkansas got off to a fast start, opening the game with a 16-2 run.

Dustin Scott scored 12 points for College of Charleston (0-2), which shot 28.6 percent from the field.

No. 19 Pittsburgh 78, Mississippi Valley State 45

Sam Young gave Mississippi Valley State plenty of problems at both ends of the floor, scoring 17 points and starting numerous fast breaks with his 12 rebounds.

Pitt (4-0) closed out the Hispanic College Fund Challenge portion of its schedule with its fourth consecutive home-court victory, all by margins of at least 11 points.

Gilbert Young, a redshirt freshman scoring in double figures for the first time, added 12 points and Tyrell Biggs, another backup, had 10 points as 13 of Pitt's 14 players scored.

Stanford Speech had 10 points for Mississippi Valley State (0-2).

No. 20 Stanford 71, Northwestern 60

At Evanston, Ill., Anthony Goods scored 19 points, and Landry Fields and Robin Lopez had 16 apiece for Stanford.

Fields made four 3-pointers and Lopez blocked five shots for the Cardinal, which improved to 4-0 for the first time since 2003-2004 when it won its first 26.

Northwestern freshman Michael Thompson scored all 16 of his points in the second half in the Wildcats' season opener.

No. 21 N.C. State 66, William & Mary 47

Freshman J.J. Hickson scored 31 points on 12-for-12 shooting for North Carolina State.

Brandon Costner added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Wolfpack (1-0), who won their 14th straight season opener and their second in two tries under coach Sidney Lowe.

Laimis Kisielius scored 12 points for the Tribe (0-2), who have lost both games this season on the road against ranked opponents.
