Pothole riddled streets could soon get smoother. The News On 6’s Emory Bryan reports Tulsa's City Council is studying new kinds of asphalt that could make street repairs last longer.

It is a conversation happening out of the spotlight at city hall, because funding is the larger issue, how to pay for repairs is the first priority. But the City Council has also spent hours and hours looking at how we fix streets in Tulsa. They have called in outside experts with ideas on how to build and maintain roads so they will last longer. It is a science the city knows all about and there's a local company, SemMaterials, doing some cutting edge work on treatments that will make good roads last longer and will help make new roads even better.

Of course, the best technology does not work unless you actually use it, so that is why the city is studying how to fix the roads and most importantly how to pay for the fix.
