A cold front will usher cooler air into Oklahoma on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service said the front is expected to pass through dry and hold temperatures steady during the day. Daytime highs should struggle to get out the 50s in some areas, but another warmup is expected by the end of the week.

On Tuesday, skies were mostly clear and temperatures ranged from 74 degrees in Bartlesville, Enid and Ponca City to 81 degrees in Guymon, forecasters said. Temperatures peaked at 75 degrees in Guthrie, Oklahoma City and Tulsa, the weather service said.

Skies should be partly sunny on Wednesday, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in southeastern Oklahoma. Temperatures should range from the low 20s in the northwest to the upper 70s in the southeast, forecasters said.

Mostly clear conditions Wednesday night will allow temperatures to range from the mid-20s in the Panhandle to the low 40s in far southeastern Oklahoma.

Temperatures will still reach the 50s and 60s statewide under sunny skies on Thursday, according to the weather service.

Partly cloudy conditions will be the rule Friday and Saturday, with highs in the 60s and 70s both days. Lows should dip into the 30s Friday night and into the 30s and 40s Saturday night, forecasters said.

More clouds are expected on Sunday, along with a slight chance of rain for the entire state. Highs should range from the middle 50s to the low 70s and lows from the mid-30s in the northwest to the lower 50s in the southeast are expected, the weather service said.
