GOLDSBY, Okla. (AP) -- A car traveling the wrong way on Interstate 35 collided head-on with another car Sunday morning, killing five people including the driver and three passengers in one car.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the collision occurred at 2:28 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-35 in McClain County.
The patrol says a car driven by 48-year-old Sofia Anne Roberts of Maysville was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it collided head-on into a southbound car driven by 23-year-old Brant Mathew Winton of Ada.
Roberts and Winton were pronounced dead at the scene along with three passengers in Winton's vehicle: 18-year-old Monica Shae Countryman of Ada; 23-year-old Gary Gene Givens of Wetumka; and 21-year-old Rebekah Jane Burgess of Konawa.
