NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Freshman Blake Griffin had 18 points and 13 rebounds as Oklahoma beat San Francisco 71-55 in the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic.

OU advances to Friday's game against Denver, which held off NCAA Division II East Central 76-75 in overtime yesterday. The winner of the Norman regional will play Memphis next Friday in the tournament semifinals.

San Francisco (0-1) will play ECU in a consolation game.

Griffin scored his first points 10 seconds into the game and teamed with older brother Taylor Griffin to give the Sooners a potent one-two offensive punch. Taylor Griffin finished with 13 points and six rebounds.

San Francisco took its first lead at 18-16 and led by as many as five points in the first half. The Dons went up 27-23 after a basket by Dior Lowhorn, but didn't score for the next seven minutes as OU went on a 17-to-0 run.

The Sooners led 40-30 at halftime and by as many as 20 points in the second half.

Lowhorn led the Dons with 26 points.
