FALLS CHURCH, Va. (AP) _ A 5-year-old girl was crushed when she tried to turn up the volume on a television and the dresser holding the set tipped over, police and family members said.
The mother, Gricia Estela Arevalo, ran into the bedroom after hearing the screams of Glenda Arevalo's 8-year-old sister. Glenda was pronounced dead Tuesday night at a hospital.
``Oh, my baby,'' the mother said Wednesday, as she sat in her home and held up a small, laminated spelling book Glenda had made in her kindergarten class.
Fairfax County police investigated the death and determined that it was an accident.
