OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A state Transportation Department engineer says inspections of 64 bridges across the state found no major problems. Chief Engineer John Fuller said Monday the inspections were "strongly urged" by the Federal Highway Administration after the collapse of a bridge in Minneapolis.

Fuller says the inspections were of "fracture critical" bridges, which are those that would be compromised if a key piece of the bridge fails.

Fuller says inspectors suggested repairs on two bridges and the repairs are being scheduled.

He says those bridges are the U.S. 62 bridge over the Arkansas River in Muskogee County and the U.S. 281 bridge over a canyon in Caddo County.
