INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- The New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts were far from perfect in their showdown that ended with a 24-20 Pats victory that leaves them as the NFL's sole undefeated team.

Tom Brady threw two interceptions that led to Colts scores. Peyton Manning threw one interception and lost a fumble that ended any hope of a second straight comeback against his old nemesis.

Colts coach Tony Dungy explained that's how big games are usually won and lost. But most figured that wouldn't be the way the Colts-Patriots game would be decided.

Indy came into the game with just five turnovers, fewest in the league. Brady had thrown only two interceptions in his first eight games and wound up doubling that total.

While Brady's mistakes were costly, it was Manning's fumble that proved decisive.

With the Colts facing third-and-9 from their own 49, Manning was hit by Jarvis Green and the ball popped out of his hands. Linebacker Rosevelt Colvin snatched it out of midair and ended the threat.
