There are new developments in the fight to cleanup the Tar Creek Superfund site in Ottawa County. Attorney General Drew Edmondson wants $65 million from one of the mining companies responsible for polluting the area.

The money would go to reimburse the DEQ, the EPA, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs for cleanup efforts.

A federal bankruptcy court still has to approve the multi-million dollar settlement.

Edmondson says the money still will not be enough to fix the problem, but it gets the cleanup moving in the right direction.
