An Oklahoma Centennial gift is helping children in North Tulsa with big dreams and limited resources. The North Mabee Boys and Girls Club, located at 3001 N. Cincinnati, unveiled it's No Limits Learning Lab on Tuesday.
The North Mabee Center has been a safe haven for children for more than 30 years. Now, area kids will have access to the best computers money can buy.
“We are probably the best kept secret in Tulsa,†Jo Bright of the North Mabee Boys and Girls Club said. “A lot of adults don't know what we do but the children know how to find us.â€
“I guarantee you this project will change the lives of many, many children,†said Bright.
The new computer lab and library is a labor of love courtesy of Wal-Mart and the Centennial Commission. Wal-Mart says its employees worked long hours to complete the transformation at the facility.
