Around the country on Sunday, millions of Americans devote their time to make a difference. It's the 17th annual "Make a Difference Day.†Some Tulsans put their talents to work on Sunday to help refurbish a non-profit education program that helps kids stay in school.
The Southern Hills Country Club created the Tulsa Hope Academy through charity golf tournaments. Volunteers on Sunday went to work painting and cleaning the interior of the school, near I-244 and Yale.
Others also collected food and clothing to benefit students of the academy.
