Runners are getting ready for Saturdayâ€™s Tulsa Run. Thousands of runners and walkers raced through the Crowne Plaza Hotel getting their identification and other items.

About 8,000 runners are expected for Tulsaâ€™s premiere running event.

"This is the one that everybody keys for, shoots for. You can ask everybody, they say I run the Tulsa Run, that's the big event. You know it's been a great event for the entire city, the whole community,â€ said Tulsa Run director Jack Wing.

There are 28 runners who have been taking part in the race since it began in 1977.
