TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Tulsa quarterback Paul Smith is a finalist for the Draddy Trophy, an academic distinction that will earn him an $18,000 post graduate scholarship.

Smith and the 14 other finalists will be recognized at an awards dinner December 4th at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City.

Each will receive a scholarship, and the winner of the Draddy Trophy will get a $25,000 scholarship. Tulsa tight end Garrett Mills was a finalist in 2005.
