UNDATED (AP) -- There are nine games on tap in the National Hockey League Thursday evening. Among the early games, the Boston Bruins are playing host to Chicago. Each club has won five games this season and this is the first meeting of the new season between these two original NHL clubs. The Bruins are looking for
back-to-back wins over the Blackhawks for the first time since the 1990-91 season.

The St. Louis Blues are on the road in Columbus for a game with the Blue Jackets. The new-look Blues are 5-and-2 this season while Columbus is 4-3-and-1.

Two of the New York area clubs are meeting in Madison Square Garden. It's the Rangers and New Jersey Devils for the first time this season. The game is the first for New York's Scott Gomez against his former 'mates. He was signed in the offseason by the Rangers.

Pittsburgh is home for a game with Toronto. The Maple Leafs are kicking off a long road trip and are facing a club that has won three straight one-goal games.

Philadelphia plays game two of a road trip at Tampa. The Flyers dropped the opening game of the eight-game trip Wednesday night to Florida while Tampa has lost three of its last four.

Neither Nashville or Atlanta has had much of a start to the new season. The Predators are 2-and-7 while the Thrashers have won two of three after an 0-and-6 start. They meet in Nashville.

Edmonton's Oilers are on the home-ice for a game with Minnesota. This is the second meeting of the two clubs this season with the Wild coming out on top in the first contest 15 days ago, 2-0.

Anaheim has dominated Phoenix in games played in Anaheim. The Ducks have won 10 straight on the home ice against the Coyotes and they look for number 11.

The final game features Los Angeles at home for a game with Dallas. The Stars have won nine straight from the Kings, including a 5-1 win on October 10th.
