A piece of equipment stolen from a vehicle in Tulsa could be harmful to the person or persons who took it. Tulsa Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a gauge taken out of a vehicle either late Wednesday or early Thursday.
Police say the moisture-density gauge was stolen from a vehicle in the 4100 block of East 41st Street. The device is manufactured by Humboldt Manufacturing and is used to measure moisture and density in soils, concrete and asphalt. The gauge contains Cesium 137, an extremely toxic radioactive isotope.
Anyone with information about theft and the gauge are asked to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
