TEXARKANA, Texas (AP) -- The aggravated sexual assault trial of Oklahoma State linebacker Chris Collins and three other men could be moved.
Collins is charged in Texarkana, Texas, in connection with a May 2004 incident involving a 12-year-old girl during a party after a school prom.
An assistant district attorney is asking that the trial be moved to another county. Kristian Young says the local media coverage of the case has created "influences in favor of the accused."
The trial is scheduled to begin the week of November 5th with jury selection to start the following day.
The judge overseeing the case says the motion will be addressed on the 5th if necessary.
