The man accused of burning a mother and her 7-month-old baby alive is expected to be in court. An arraignment is scheduled Monday for Raymond Johnson. He is accused of killing Brooke Whitaker and her 7-month old daughter Kya back in June. Their bodies were found by firefighters called to a fire at their East Tulsa home.

Johnson allegedly told police he hit Whitaker several times with a hammer, doused her with gasoline and set her on fire. Johnson also says he poured gasoline in the living room and Kya’s room, said police.

Prosecutors say they will ask for the death penalty.
