Oklahoma’s only Centennial bicycle event shifted into gear on Saturday.
The birthday bike ride brought folks from across Green Country together. Hundreds of people showed up for the long haul down the Osage Prairie and Katy trails at OSU-Tulsa.
Organizers say they've been waiting for this day for a quite awhile.
“Been planning it a long time, close to a year. We're very happy it's here today. Many of us have worked long hours bringing it together. We're happy it's here,†said Tulsa County Parks Director Richard Bales.
The event had several bike paths to choose from, but some brave bikers chose to participate in the 100 mile trek celebrating the state's 100th birthday.
