Someone cut off a Tulsa police officer, causing quite a mess in midtown Tulsa Saturday night.

It happened near Harvard Avenue and Independence. Tulsa police say the driver cut off the officer and tried to make a left-hand turn from the outside lane.

The police cruiser clipped the SUV and it rolled right over the box that controls the traffic lights.

â€œThe driver of the other vehicle was issued a couple citations in reference to his driving and not having another licensed driver in the vehicle,â€ said Tulsa Police Sgt. Ryan Perkins.

Tulsa police say no one was seriously hurt, but those involved did suffer some bumps and bruises.
