LAWTON, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities say a Geronimo man died on Sunday when the pickup truck he was driving went off the road and rolled into a creek.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 24-year-old Julian Contreras Alvarado was eastbound on a Comanche County road about 2 am when the pickup he was driving left the road.
Troopers say the vehicle then traveled along the edge of a bridge, rolled into a creek and hit an embankment after falling about 40 feet.
Alvarado was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the cause of the crash is unknown.
Julian Contrearas Alvarado wasn't wearing a seat belt.
