Some Oklahoma teenagers are helping hurricane victims restore their most precious memories. Operation Photo Rescue helps reclaim those treasures. High school students from Tulsa’s Booker T. Washington became a part of the project on Saturday. They spent the day at Tulsa Community College, located at 10300 E. 81st Street South, learning how to restore pictures many thought Katrina had destroyed.

"You have your memories and you keep them by your photos,” said Angela Colwell of the Booker T. Washington National Honors Society. “It's really a terrible thing when they get destroyed, so this is a great organization to keep your memories and keep what's precious to you."

Students say it's rewarding to know they had a hand in restoring the photos.
