Attorney Remains Critical After Diving From Ledge

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An Edmond attorney who jumped from an Oklahoma City hospital ledge last week remains in critical condition. Robert Behlen was taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City after he stabbed himself in the neck with a pencil at the Oklahoma County jail, where he was being detained after he allegedly tried to rob Barrett Drug Center in Edmond on September 18th.

While at OU Medical Center, Behlen climbed out a window and stood on a fifth-story ledge, threatening to commit suicide.

As Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputies attempted to enter the room from the ledge, Behlen dove head-first out of the window, falling about 30 feet to an awning below.
