STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State is preparing this week for a change of pace from the past three weeks, when spread offenses heavily emphasized the pass.
This week, the Cowboys meet Texas A&M, which has averaged 267.8 yards rushing to rank fifth in the nation, three spots ahead of OSU.
Considering the approach the Cowboys' past three opponents have taken, defensive coordinator Tim Beckman said it's difficult to assess where his team's run defense stands.
Troy, Texas Tech and Sam Houston State averaged 55 pass attempts and 434.7 yards passing against the Cowboys.
A&M and Oklahoma State rank first and second in the conference in rushing.
Each team has a win and no losses in the Big 12 South standings, so Saturday's game will determine who the sole leader will be.
