Six legends of Oklahoma music are being honored. They are the latest of the most gifted musicians, song writers, and performers to be honored by the hall of fame. This year's inductees include Tulsa favorite Tommy Crook. Cal Smith is another new inductee. Cal sang two number one hits including "Country Bumpkin." Sammi Smith will also be remembered. She sang "Help Me make it Through the Night".
In the singer songwriter category, Hoyt Axton and his mom Mae Boren Axton were honored for writing several country hits.
The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame Awards show is November first in Muskogee.
