A Rogers County Sheriff's deputy will not be charged for his role in an accident that killed two people. Ottawa County prosecutors say Deputy Joseph Batt was responding to an emergency back in July, when he hit another car.

Batt's passenger, a 20-year-old Amanda Kelley, a Claremore police dispatcher and the driver of the other car, 45-year-old Doris McQueen were both killed.

Prosecutors say Sheriff’s deputy Batt was speeding and did not have his emergency lights on, but that the accident was caused when the driver of the other vehicle did not yield at a stop sign.
