TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- The University of Tulsa women's tennis team kicks off the fall season this weekend when it hosts the Hurricane Invitational on the TU campus.

The tournament will feature Tulsa, Arkansas, Oklahoma State and Kansas State.

The defending Conference USA Champion, Tulsa returns seven letter winners from last season, including third team all-C-USA performer Carla Zabaleta.

TU ended the 2006-07 season ranked 44th nationally. Head Coach Dean Orford was named Conference USA Coach of the Year.

Last spring, Tulsa swept the three teams making the trip to the Hurricane Invitational. TU defeated Arkansas in Fayetteville on January 28th. Tulsa also won in Manhattan, Kansas, against Kansas State on March 10th.

Tulsa defeated Oklahoma State 5-2 on March 24th.
