MOFFETT, Okla. (AP) -- An Arkansas man who drowned after he reportedly jumped from a bridge has been identified.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the body of 47-year old Raymond Angelo of Fort Smith was found Sunday in the Arkansas River near Moffett. He reportedly jumped from a bridge on Thursday.
Witnesses told state troopers that Angelo jumped into the river from the Oklahoma 64 bridge in Sequoyah County near the Arkansas state line.
Troopers say Angelo surfaced once and then disappeared in the river.
His body was recovered about 5 p.m. Sunday in Arkansas by state police and the Fort Smith Fire Department.
