The News on 6 brings possible relief for busy parents. A Broken Arrow mom has developed a book she says every mom will want. It's a journal that helps parents keep up with everything from their child's medications to soccer practice. News On 6 anchor Craig Day reports that Carmen Kraft believes she has developed something every busy parent needs.

When her twins were little, Kraft starting working on a way to keep track of everything moms and dads need to keep track of.

"What is it, necessity is the mother of all inventions," says Carmen Kraft, author of the “Doctor Me” book.

She came up with a way for parents to organize important information regarding their children. Think of it as a very detailed day planner-slash-journal for parents.

"We have businesses, we have schedules and meetings, and we keep track of all those, but there wasn't anything out there to keep track of our kids," explains Carmen Kraft.

The “Doctor Me” book has pages for emergency information, a medical section to record things like immunizations and medications, weekly activity sheets to keep up with things like soccer games, and a lot more. Kraft says it's like an owners manual for kids.

"I was like the typical mom, I had it on the back of bank deposit slips, and on gum wrappers and sticky notes and whatever I had in my purse at the time. And I thought, there has got to be a better way to keep all of this information in one spot," the author says.

Lisa Cobb, a mother herself, likes the idea.

"I like to keep track of this type of thing when they've been sick, definitely I think it would help," says Lisa Cobb.

Kraft says that's the goal of the “Doctor Me” book - to help busy parents and to help provide organization and peace of mind.

The books are on sale at More than Dreams at 81st and Harvard and at Baby O' Mine in Broken Arrow. You can also order one from Amazon or online on the “Doctor Me” book website. Kraft also plans on future "Doctor Me" books dealing with care for seniors, special needs patients and maybe even pets.
