ADA, Okla. (AP) - East Central University has received a $1 million federal grant to fund the development of a program with five other state schools to help prevent violence against women.
The grant will establish the Regional University System of Oklahoma Violence Prevention Project.
It is thought to be the first attempt among Oklahoma state colleges to address the problems of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking.
