TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ University of Oklahoma faculty and staff at the Norman and Tulsa campuses will get pay raises of more than 3 1/2%. OU regents meeting in Tulsa approved the pay raises Wednesday. The raises will cost nearly $7 million.

OU President David Boren says the pay increases for OU, will give the university the second-highest paid faculty in the Big 12.

The regents also approved a $200,000 program to buy textbooks for certain large, required general education courses. But books will be kept at the library so students won't have to buy them.

In other business the regents approved an agreement giving Coca-Cola the beverage and snack vending rights on the Norman campus through 2018 for nearly $18 million.

And regents extended the contract with Sooner Sports Properties for multimedia rights to OU athletics. The ten year extension is for $71 million.
