NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma running back Allen Patrick is expected to play Saturday against Miami but not on special teams.

Running backs coach Cale Gundy says he'd like to keep Patrick off special teams as long as possible while he recovers from an ankle sprain that kept him out of the North Texas game.

Patrick is one of OU's top kick-coverage players and coaches hope to use him there when they believe his ankle is healed.

The fifth-ranked Sooners host Miami Saturday with kickoff at 11 a.m.
